Motorola’s New MC9500 Replaces MC9000 Series

Jul 01, 2011

Motorola’s MC9000 series terminals have been replaced by the MC9500 series. These new devices have been completely re-engineered from the inside out. Featuring an IP67 rating, the MC9500 is Motorola’s most rugged handheld to date. Battery improvements include a display of remaining charge and battery health, as well as a more efficient charging system featuring past and future agnostic cradles. A radio status LED allows for constant visibility of radio connection. The built in accelerometer not only rotates the screen for easy use despite orientation, but it tracks drops which can pinpoint hardware abuse. The MC9500 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with a VGA compatible display, GPS, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi and infra-red. It has 128MB of ROM and 512MB of flash memory and a microSD slot for cards up to 32GB.
