With more than 20 years of experience across multiple industries, Kelson is an expert in the distribution marketplace. Fortune 500 companies like Quick Trip, Sara Lee, Pepsi Co., Amazon.com, Petsmart, Anheuser Busch, and JM Family Enterprises have called upon Kelson to consult on process engineering, waste reduction, and productivity improvement. Notable highlights include the following:
- Kelson managed the design and development of a system for tracking cars at three port facilities in the Southeast. He led the charge for improvements in process design, technology selection, construction management, implementation, and the coordination of multiple organizations, including the customer and multiple outside consulting and services organizations.
- Managing the design and delivery of an end-to-end logistics system for Sara Lee, Kelson led an entirely new process design, change management, staffing, documentation, and the coordination of all activities with outsourced IT resources provided by AT&T and HP.
- Consulting for Quick Trip, Kelson assisted with integration of new technologies into new distribution centers and has improved efficiencies in 8 bakeries built over the last 5 years.
When Kelson is not busy implementing efficient business practices, this University of Texas alum enjoys racing sailboats and experimenting in the kitchen.
Brian Mahoney, Distribution Systems
With a reputation for delivering large-scale projects on time and on budget, Brian's hands on focus, positive attitude, and more than 30 years of industry experience effectively bridge the gap between MIS, sales, and distribution. His expertise in installation and application of supply chain management systems, mainframe systems knowledge, logistics applications, systems backup and recovery, back office applications, Microsoft applications and operating systems, as well as UNIX, has made Brian an unmatched resource for distribution implementations. This self-proclaimed "large furry warehouse guy" provides excellent on-site training. Brian also claims to be an avid collector of consumer goods packaging, lore master of Golden Age science fiction, and Bonsai hobbyist for local tree species.
Nick Shoemaker, Network Services
The head of Genesta's network services group, Nick has been designing, configuring, and installing Cisco and Motorola network equipment for 11 years. In this time, always striving to learn and stay at the top of his game, Nick has completed his Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Advanced Wireless Field Specialist, CCNA Wireless, Cisco Certified Network Professional – Wireless (CCNP-Wireless), Cisco Express Foundation Specialist, Platform Certified – Advanced Data Capture (technical), Motorola Platform Certified – Mobile Computing (technical), and Motorola Platform Certified – Wireless LAN (technical) certifications. He has extensive hands on experience with wireless products from 5 vendors and over 50 different mobile computers. Nick's leadership and project management skills have been demonstrated in warehouses, distribution centers, and retail spaces around the world. From installing wireless through a California earthquake, to spending countless days in freezers, to being an American Airlines Platinum frequent flier, this guy has been around.
Randon Crowell, Hardware Management
No stranger to the ins and outs of hardware, Randon wrote his first computer program in 1969. Yes, Randon has been doing this for a very long time. He earned his bachelor's degree while serving eight years in the U.S. Army. He spent the 80s and 90s writing application software at Telxon and as a private contractor for more than 100 companies, including Shell Oil, American Airlines, Southland Corporation, McLane, Sysco, Circle K, Fleming Foods, Grocery Supply, Gourmet Foods, Cardinal Healthcare, Foxmeyer Drug, McKesson Pharmaceutical, Michaels Stores, American Media, and more. Now, Randon is the head of Genesta's hardware management segment, and thus also the resident service contract expert. Randon's hobbies include coming to the office to repair or configure hardware and playing occasional pranks on the network guys.
Kelley Hargis, Network Services
Another wireless trailblazer, Kelley has supervised the installation of over 20 million square feet of indoor wireless coverage and thousands of acres of outdoor wireless coverage. Networks ranging from 1 access point to 100, Kelley has seen it all. Responsible for the quality and accuracy of final documentation of the system that his team delivers, Kelley manages the process of converting the physical installation into site prints and network documentation. Familiar with equipment from numerous vendors including Telxon/Aironet, Cisco, Symbol, Motorola, Proxim, Intermec, Lucent, Avaya, Enterasys, and Nokia, Kelley, dubbed Genesta's "can do" guy, enables clients to realize the potentials of wireless LAN. Kelley has earned his MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), Cisco Wireless LAN for Sales and Field Engineers, Novell Netware 5 Administration, and Novell Netware 5 Advanced Administration certifications. When he's not spending time conducting an installation in a freezer or on the roof of a building in the desert, Kelley can be found spending time with his four children and enjoying the great outdoors.
